"People's Word" came out with the January 4, 1991, "Vitebsk worker" - from November 11, 1917. When two editions in one had to part with some co-workers. Acting Chief Editor of "Vitebsk news" carries Elena Sys, a former deputy editor of "Working Vitebsk". Copies of the first issue of the new paper - 12,700 copies. Its layout and design are almost the same as they were in the "People's word."
