In Vitebsk, in the end of the 1st street name Dovatora quickly erected a new building. The site is enclosed by a fence, but customary in such cases, the "Passport object settings" on it not. However, all local residents know that they had built a residence for the chairman of the executive committee.
The residence in the so-called "quiet center" Vitebsk is quite high. Therefore, the demolition has already gone greenhouses - property Veterinary Academy. The next step - a historic building from the late 19th - early 20th century, from which summer evicted Museum of Private Collections.
Vitebsk Museum of Private Collections was the only one in Belarus. Today, this building does not approach: a century of red brick fence built two-storey house. Former museum on all sides piled construction materials, and construction workers tell curious about the prospects of its deterioration.
The most interesting - students Veterinary Academy. Its very close to the hostel, and everyone is interested in what is happening behind the fence, said student Larissa: "We went there for a walk, wanted to take pictures, and there - building. No signs that this building. And the guy with the dog that guards the construction. Came to the dormitory, Reporting ... And everybody says, "What are you crawling there? It's the governor's house to build!" We wondered, what the Governor? It turns out that our Kosintsev. We wondered if we went to the builders, pohihikali with them, they told me. Like, truly a home for the governor. Ask, "Why so little?" They say: "These are just two floors above ground, and below another, the pool will be there" ... Well, we certainly did not ask us to empty the bath. Probably not ... "
Not that swim - students are strongly advised not even to look towards the future residence. Meanwhile, the construction site and took the part of the institution, the student continues: "The teachers at the hostel said that we did not go there. Like, there is no more of our greenhouses, and have nothing to do there. There also have been hotbeds of Veterinary Academy. So they tore down. And the builders said that old house where the museum was there any collections exhibited, or something - that he, too, will be demolished by bulldozers. "
Clarify something about the prospects of building - is impossible. A must for every construction project "passport" - a sign which indicates the name of the plan and the future appearance of the building - no. Such secrecy around future residence and the demolition of a historic building only creates unnecessary rumors, says artist Svetlana Barankovskaya, studying ancient Vitebsk:
"I'm sorry, this is inaccurate education of our leadership in the social sciences! The more open you are, the more love you. And when management starts to hide, then start gossiping. Well, in the end, the governor has to live in decent conditions. Suddenly, someone would come to him? What - lead to his nine-? On the other hand - building is not for private money and private housing is not built ... Well, what if the next governor of the house does not like it, so maybe Museum and private collections will move to a decent house! "
Chairman of the Executive Committee Alexander Kosinets yet lives in an ordinary nine-story. One thing is that there is unusual - the entrance is on duty police. As for the private collections of the Museum, the first in Vitebsk suggests that the governor's residence will be exactly there. By the way, this building was once home head-peasant land-bank, and after World War II - the first secretaries of the regional committee of the PBC.
The probable extension of the Soviet tradition of local people started saying last summer when there was an urgent eviction of the Museum of Private Collections. Chairman of the regional branch of the TBM Joseph Naumchik one of the first to attempt to find out why, "I asked the staff not happen if they have anything. They said that - no leaks, falling apart, and suddenly - "emergency state". I then spoke with the Minister of Culture on the phone. Latushko then said: "We are, of course, for the Museum of Private Collections. But it is not our property, and regional. And I was told that the building is in a dangerous condition. "
Museum of Private Collections lasted 19 years. It was opened July 22, 1993, the first day of the "Slavic Bazaar". And on the second day of the last festival exhibits urgently transported to the Vitebsk regional museum, freeing up space. About repairing the alleged "emergency" museum building question has not arisen. But the construction of a new skyscraper near - the residence of the governor. All that prevents - is to be demolished.
