Prosecutor's Office issued a warning to a Vitebsk journalist

April 15 Svetlana Stepanova visited Vitebsk oblast prosecutor accompanied Vitebsk human rights activist Paul Lyavinau. The prosecutor's office decided that an independent journalist from Vitebsk without accreditation cooperating with foreign media - Belarusian service of "the Polish Radio for abroad".

Prosecutor in charge of supervising the enforcement of legislation Pavel Zaitsev talked with a journalist for 20 minutes. "He explained that foreign journalists in Belarus are not allowed to operate without accreditation, and warned of possible liability under Article 22.9, Part 2 of the Administrative Code (" illegal production and distribution of media products")," - said the human rights activist Paul Levinau.

After the talk, the prosecutor went into the next room and brought a resolution ready reprimand. Paper, according to Paul Lyavinau, prepared in advance: it was signed by Deputy Attorney George Korenko area, which visitors met at the exit of the building.
