In early March, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against deputy general director of RUE "Vitebskenergo" on the facts of abuse of office in the same place of work. The charges stemmed from material inspection by the Economic Crimes Department of the Interior and the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee Vitebsk Regional Department of Internal Affairs.

The investigation revealed that the accused, working as director of the agricultural enterprises of Vitebsk region, used for personal purposes and means of building materials, which were intended for the upgrade of the enterprise. Contracting company which carried out construction and installation work in the enterprise, while erecting a personal cottage official of funds and building materials, which were intended for enterprise objects.
