At the site of alleged mass executions of the NKVD near Vitebsk installed crosses and held a memorial service (video, photos)
November 12 on the initiative of a member of the Vitebsk city organization of the CCP BPF Jan Derzhavtseva in the forest outside the village of Hayes Vitebsk region on the site of alleged mass executions of citizens by the NKVD in the second half of the 30s were a memorial crosses, laid flowers and a wreath, and sent to a funeral dirge near the remains of the innocent people killed.
The main action took place near the symbolic grave where the priest held a service. In his speech, he drew attention to the fact that in all the circumstances, the most important thing - "Who are these people, for whom we pray? Why are they here? We would like to read a list of names of victims, as in the church accepted. Has a name - for him pray. This - this great grace. I would like to see these victims and perpetrators were identified. This is what we pray and ask the Lord."
"The farther one goes from God, the less he has the truth and the light. And everything that we see here, it is the result of the fact that a person becomes distant from God. What we are far away from God, the less we have the truth, the better to deceive us. All this happened on willfulness, when a man put himself above God's laws. Crosses raised here - it's not just the characters that must stand on the graves. It's actually a weapon, which killed the God-man for the sake of us all. For what? So that we can live without him? No! Man cannot live without God."
A member of the CCP BPF Peter Sarapenya noted that the 30s wave of repression swept across Belarus. He recalled his meeting with the former head of the agricultural communes of the village's Court Shumilino area. He said: "Once in the village came and took the authorized local assets to their homes of villagers who refused to go to the commune. One poor farmer that lived Bobylev, head of the district has offered for entry into the commune cow. But he said that it will take only "when the sun begins to rise in the west and sets in the east." 10 people took the time out of the village, of which 7 years back only two. The farmer did not come back too. Perhaps some of them are there? In all this really impressive is that "today the authorities do not make any effort to clarify the historical truth and do not do anything to make people know about it."
