August 19 the judge of the Viciebsk Regional court Svetlana Ivanova upheld the decision of the Hłybokaje District Court handed down against journalist Dmitry Lupach, who was punished for alleged illegal production and distribution of media products.

In civil cases the judge Oktyabrsky district of Viciebsk Natalia Lyakh refused to satisfy the complaint of pensioners and invalids of the second group, the human rights activist Valery Misnikova the actions of state bodies and officials. Mr. Misnikov said that if he could not get justice in Belarusian courts, he will be forced to turn to international organizations for the protection of their social rights.

The site publishes a letter Igor Olinevich abc-belarus.org in which he commented on the trip of representatives of the human rights organization "Platform" on correctional colonies and describes in detail the system in which he has to live the last 5 years. Independent journalist Dmitry Lupach only wasted time and money, arrived Aug. 12 from Hłybokaje, where he lives in Viciebsk on the court. The judge of the regional court Svetlana Ivanova, charged with reviewing the case of the journalist, did not bother to warn him in advance that the trial be postponed, as it needs more time to study the case.

The UN Committee on Human Rights (CHR) has taken a few dozen decisions that recognized the rights of citizens of Belarus infringer. The HRC decisions, inter alia, requested the Republic of Belarus to publish these decisions and ensure their wide dissemination in the country in Belarusian and Russian languages. Paul Levinau turned to the Foreign Ministry to find out how to carry out this request HRC, and was told that the state is not obliged to do so.
