The criminal case on part 1 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code (theft) was instituted against a tenth-grader of one of the schools in Viciebsk. The total amount of damage allegedly inflicted by a tenth grade student was 2 rubles 35 kopecks.

The 17-year-old was detained by officers of the Pervomaysky protection department together with the officers of the criminal investigation department on May 31. According to law enforcement authorities, a student on the evening of May 1 stole a chocolate bar and a purse from a package of 39-year-old local resident on a bridge across the Moscow Avenue to Bilev, where he had 1 ruble 20 kopecks.

The total amount of damage caused amounted to 2 rubles 35 kopecks, the press service of the Viciebsk Security Department reports. The sanction of the article on which a criminal case has been initiated, provides for public works, either fine, or correctional labor for up to two years, or arrest for up to six months, or restriction of freedom for up to three years, or imprisonment for the same period.
