The judge of the Viciebsk regional court Svetlana Ivanova considered well-founded decision of his colleagues previously taken on the joint with a guitar singing a hymn "Mighty God" former candidates, and filed an appeal against them is not satisfied.
As previously reported, 26 September decision of the Oktyabrsky district court of Vitsebsk public and party activists Tatsyana Sevyarynets, George Stankevich Elena Shabunya for singing without a permit were fined five basic units. Harmless execution of two songs to the guitar in the underpass opposite the summer amphitheater during the election campaign, Judge Vladimir Tsarikov qualified as unauthorized pickets, the purpose of which is not related to the collection of signatures.
Despite the precariousness of wine delivered to applicants for a place in the Belarusian parliament, the court sided with the police, who initiated the process. The activists did not agree that the court found them guilty of committing an administrative offense under part 1 of Article 23.34 of the Administrative Code (violation of the order of organizing and holding mass street actions), and filed a complaint with the Superior Court.
The complaint against the decision of the court of the Oktyabrsky district of Viciebsk judge Svetlana Ivanova examined on 16 November. After examining the case, the judge of the regional court decided to leave the lower court's decision unchanged and complaint – without satisfaction.
Taking advantage of their right to appeal a decision, activists appealed to the chairman of the Viciebsk regional court. However, in legal realities existing in the country, a positive outcome of their consideration of supervisory complaints they especially do not expect.
