"Public discussion of measures to improve the ecological environment and improvement of the population in the town of Navapołacak": on November 17 in Navapołacak held a round table, organized by the human rights center "Viasna", on the topic.

The theme of ecology is vital to Navapołacak. According to some Internet sources, the city in 2014 and 2015 recognized as one of the most environmentally disadvantaged in Belarus. Therefore, the meeting topic caused some interest among the public. Especially because the meeting was attended by representatives of factories administration "Naftan" and "Polymir". These are the sources that affect the environment in the city.

First, administration officials kept wary, then, realizing that gathered adequate, caring people, calm down. The conversation went in a positive way. Of course, there were many ordinary: "We are all as good as the others, and all does not exceed acceptable standards." But as it turned out, that much is really done – within available resources for environmental improvement in the production and, accordingly, in the city. Even there are victims of the environment among the administration, fined by a court for upholding environmental standards.

Due to the fact that at the meeting there were no representatives of the city authorities, was not raised a question about the allergic center, inexplicably closed. Now in Navapołacak does not even have an allergist.

The meeting ended positively. Activists found out what the public can help. It turns out that the city is full landfill for municipal solid waste and debris will soon be nowhere to take out. The question should be raised.
