In solidarity with the journalists of the world, who hold a demonstration on November 5, "Let us stand for journalism!" Some did not come at all - there was no time, or people afraid to demonstrate their beliefs. However, our goal was not only a demonstration of journalistic solidarity. We have sought to bring to the residents of Vitebsk the problems that exist in the Belarusian journalism - it's harassment of independent media, the elimination of the threat of the journal "Arche" », - said Mr. Khamaida.
Together with the independent media - newspapers "Nasha Niva", "Novy Chas" - independent journalists offered passers leaflets with information about the actions of solidarity and the situation with non-government press in Belarus.
