The National Statistics Committee has published data on the socio-economic development of regions for eight months of 2016, including in agriculture. Compared with last year Viciebsk turned into negative territory in many respects.

Among these indicators: production, grind grain, the production of eggs, milk sales – across these areas takes the last place in the country. Relatively good situation with the preparation of forages.

In the first eight months of the year Viciebsk managed to produce only 88.9% to the last year's level of production in agriculture. In absolute terms, it is 1036.3 million rubles after the denomination that makes the smallest contribution to the republican production – 12.3% – below the Mahiloŭ region.

Combine the area harvested this year only 783.9 thousand tons or 57.4% to the last year's level, excluding maize yields at 27.6 c / ha.

Only for fodder for livestock public Viciebsk is the third in the country with the highest index of fodder per head of cattle 16.7 centners of fodder units.

In the production of Viciebsk dairy farms remained at last year's level, but the implementation of the milk for the region is the lowest in the country – only 89.3% of milk production.

Meanwhile, the production of eggs, Viciebsk region experienced the largest drop in volume compared with 2015 – up to 90.4%, and still is in the Mahiloŭ region on the red eggs – 99.4%.

As of livestock and poultry the region added a little – by 1.6%, also due to the collapse in the Homiel region of 5.2% was on the penultimate place in the country with a total weight of realization 124.9 thousand tons.
