Medal "In commemoration of the 1000th anniversary of the repose of St. Apostolic Grand Duke Vladimir" was established by the Decree of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill on November 6, 2014. The medal is one degree. It rewards the bishops and clergy, religious, and philanthropists, statesmen and public figures, who have made a significant contribution to the strengthening of spirituality in society.
In celebration of the Twelve everlasting feast – Presentation of Mary – established Orthodox Church, visited Hłybokaje Archbishop of Połacak and Hłybokaje Theodosius. Bishop celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and after the service turned to the congregation gathered in the church to preach.
Remembering the story, which formed the basis of the holiday, the Archbishop also spoke about the power of faith and the saving power of prayer, spoke of how important it is to live, to work, to build for the benefit of the Fatherland, carrying the heart of love for God and people. Also, the ruling bishop drew attention to the fact, which is incomparably important role in strengthening not only the socio-economic situation, but also in strengthening the unity and true spirituality in society belongs to the representatives of the government. And in this regard, he noted the great contribution to the strengthening of cooperation between church and state authorities in the preservation and multiplication of Christian values head of Hłybokaje district, chairman of the district executive committee Oleg Morhat and gave him a high church award – the medal "In memory of the 1000th anniversary of the repose of St. Equal to the Apostles Prince Vladimir".
In his welcoming speech during this solemn moment, Archbishop of Połacak and Hłybokaje with great warmth spoke about how carefully is the head of such a high rank to everyone, even to stumble through life, and lay on the dusty roadside. And, of course, there has been a truly titanic work of Oleg, under the direct supervision and on whose initiative undertaken and carried out extensive work on the preservation of the existing and construction of new churches and chapels, the establishment of worship cross, organizing and conducting religious holidays, spiritual and cultural activities and festivals.
In turn, Oleg Morhat warmly thanked Bishop Theodosius for the award and for the attention and the warmth with which His Eminence spiritually nourishes the residents of the region.
