Prosecution authorities Viciebsk region revealed violations of the law, aimed at ensuring the safety of children in the summer. This was reported by the assistant prosecutor of the region to oversee the implementation of legislation on minors and young Irina Tarasevich.
Prosecutors region in May and August this year, monitored the safe care of children in children's health organizations, compliance with safety requirements for playgrounds, schools and public stadiums. Besides surveyed potentially dangerous objects for children, leisure verified minors, as well as compliance with labor legislation in employment of minors.
Monitoring has shown that most of the health institutions are adequately prepared to stay children. However, some violations of the law established in health institutions Biešankovičy, Vierchniadźvinsk, Viciebsk, Haradok, Dokšycy, Lepiel, Vorša, Sianno, Tałačyn, Čašniki districts and Viciebsk city. In particular, it has not been listed in order of the camps, are not suitable for the operation of non-motorized children's rides, revealed violations of sanitary norms and rules, as well as fire safety requirements.
Another problematic issue is the safety of children in playgrounds settlements of the region. Breaches of the law in their maintenance and operation found in in Viciebsk and Navapołacak cities, as well as in Biešankovičy, Brasłaŭ, Viciebsk, Hłybokaje, Haradok, Dokšycy, Dubroŭna, Miory, Vorša, Połacak, Pastavy, Rasony, Sianno, Tałačyn, Čašniki, Šumilina districts. "Often, the playing equipment is damaged, improperly secured, at the sites not mown grass, the sandbox is not covered with sand, littered with children's facilities and grounds themselves," – said the prosecutor.
She recalled that, pursuant to the protocol inter-ministerial meeting of the Prosecutor's Office of Viciebsk region and the Viciebsk oblast executive committee on the prevention of deaths of children by local authorities was requested as soon as possible to generate a list of potentially dangerous objects and places of residence of minors. But in the administrations of districts of Viciebsk and Lepiel district executive committee at the time of inspection there were no such lists.
Particular attention of prosecutor's office is paid Sianno district, where the tragedy occurred this summer – in June in an artificial reservoir drowned three minor children (children riding on a homemade raft). It was found that the actual body of water is not used for a long time abandoned object that represents a threat to human life and health. Along the shores of the reservoir located dangerous slopes, much of the coasts with sharp cliffs up to one and a half meters, approaches to the pond overgrown with grass and shrubs. In connection with the identified violations of the law, aimed at ensuring the safety of children, prosecutors issued more than 50 acts of prosecutorial supervision, on the consideration that measures were taken to eliminate detected violations, the causes and conditions that contribute to them, the guilty officials brought to the statutory liability.
