The theme of the plein air is "Belarusian temples of Połacak". It took place from 10 to 15 August, and was dedicated to the memory of Ivan Khrutsky – in the early days of the event the artists visited the grave of the famous painter of the 19th century in the village Z. Połacak District.
In the open air attended by eight of Belarusian artists who lived in a private house in the Christian church in austere conditions. On Saturday, August 15, the works of the artists were presented for review. Each of the artists after the left one open-air painting as a gift to the Christian parish.
On Saturday after the Orthodox Christian worship, which, incidentally, was accomplished in the Belarusian language, was an exhibition-report painted a picture of. Paintings and sketches of the participants were exposed to an open-air courtyard of the temple on display parishioners. Artists talked about their impressions of Połacak churches, the atmosphere of ancient history, their vision of the Christian history of Połacak. Ales Pushkin, who came to the open air, was impressed with a Christian service in the Belarusian language, and spoke about his donated paintings, symbolizing the union of Western and Eastern Christianity.
Organizers promise six months to hold an exhibition of these paintings modified in Viciebsk and possibly in Minsk. It is planned to make this an annual open-air, and the Christian tradition. This year participated in the open air: Ales Pushkin, Andrei Mikhailov, Andrei Piskunov, Vyacheslav Litvin, Valeriy Schastny, Viktor Zhukov, Dmitry Mshar, Ivan Ivanov.
