Human rights activist Paul Levinov arrested at KGB building

On Vitebsk defender Paul Levinov administrative report violations of rules of the road. November 12 in the morning Levinov was near the building of the KGB of the Vitebsk region, where the day before the explosion occurred. It was from him many of the media know what's happening on the scene.

Mr Levinov attempted to meet with someone from the leadership of the local police or the KGB to find official information about the incident. Instead, however, about 10:00 am, he was taken to the police station and accused of violating the rules of the road - in the fact that, being next to the KGB, he walked on the roadway, not the sidewalk.

As a human rights activist said, he did go on the road, but - he is not alone. "The area near the KGB building is still surrounded by tape machines are not passing, so walk on the roadway, many, including - the committee members," - said Levin.

 

Protocol on administrative violation was state inspector Baranov. According Levinov, it was an order superior, Inspector Kholodnov, take it to them, to divert attention from the KGB building. After Baranov did not react to the KGB officers that crossing the road is not in a crosswalk.

 

For a traffic violation Levinov ordered to pay a fine of 200,000 rubles, but defender was going to challenge the police action. "With the development of protocol my rights have been violated, I was not given the opportunity of protection. I will appeal the actions of the police," - said the human rights activist.
