Viciebsk Regional Executive Committee, which on September 27 a copy of the collective letter to Alexander Lukashenka protection of Partisan glory in the park was transferred, sent Viciebsk human rights activist Leanid Svetsik who first signed the appeal, notice that in essence it will be considered the city's executive committee.

Under the said letter was signed by 271 people, so that, according to the Belarusian legislation, it must be examined on-site. The second copy of the letter was sent to the presidential administration, the answer there was not yet.

As previously reported, in connection with the construction of a copy of St. Sophia Cathedral in Viciebsk and related infrastructure in the park of Partisan Glory cut down 206 trees.
